Nancy Dafoe

Nancy Avery Dafoe (Nancydafoebooks) is an award-winning writer and English educator living in Central New York. She writes across genres and is the author of thirteen books. Her work also appears in anthologies in additional to journals and magazines. Her business Dafoe Writing & Consulting is designed to help others with their writing projects online. ​Dafoe has written novels, memoirs, short stories, essays, and poetry, as well as won awards for her fiction and poetry, including first prize in the William Faulkner-William Wisdom Creative Writing competition for Poetry, and in the New Century Writer Award short story category, as well as first place awards in the Soul Making prose poetry competition, and from the NLAPW, CNY Branch competition, among others. She is a member of the National League of American Pen Women.
