Carol Goodman Kaufman
In a prior life, Carol Goodman Kaufman was a psychologist and criminologist. But she reached her limit on writing about abuse and violent extremism and now writes about happier subjects. She has two regular columns on food history, one in the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, one in the Jewish press, and is hoping to publish a book based on her newspaper series. She also pens books for children, including the picture books Once in a Full Moon, Pirate Ships and Shooting Stars, and Bear Detectives and Friends. When she decided to take the plunge into fiction, she chose the mystery genre, quite often of the murder variety. Ironic, but not totally out of character. She still likes to see justice done in the end, and she loves a good puzzle. She is currently in the research phase for a work of historical fiction set in the time of the War of 1812.
