1974 Scrapbook

So here is another image taken by Tuna at Griffin Road in May 1974 just a few seconds after that first classic photo which has been making the rounds. The subtle differences include: Willie Whitham suddenly appears! Carey Clark disappears! Sophie slips in behind Joe! Betsy Elizabeth Head stands up! and her brother Chris turns slightly toward the camera. Also pictured (seated): Kenny Bochat, Doug Reimer, Liz Green (with her hand in front of my face), Paul Montalbano, Ashton Applewhite, John T. Heyl, Marty Blake, Nathan Stack, Matt Schaefer, Carol Kennedy McCarthy, Sam Katz, 5 underclass students whom I do not know, Ellen Lefferts, Maggie Cohen, and Emily Paine. I also remember being in your Mom’s Lauderdale condo kitchen making ten pounds of tuna fish salad for giant hero sandwiches Vito and I ate on our car ride back north. The LOONS

2024 Gathering - From Richard Kavesh:

The Loons have begun their annual migration to Nyack. Ken Victoria Bochat, Christopher Baker, and Richard Kavesh took a walk through Nyack to Memorial Park, right on the mighty Hudson River. More Loons kept flocking in: Andrew Mosner, Manny Sargent, Matt Schaefer, and Paul Montalbano, culminating with our annual two-pound lobster fest with littleneck clams prepared by Manny and corn on the cob and salad prepared by Andy. Best friends in the world. Best weekend of the year.
